I can't believe the school year is about to end. Where does the time go? It seems like we were just buying school supplies! Well, we have had a great year and the kids have done very well in school. Kasey got lots of awards at the Jr. High Awards banquet last Thursday night. He also received the Who's Who award, which is chosen by the teachers. Three 8th graders receive this award. We were very proud of him!
Kyla will have her awards on the last day of school. Both kids have field trips between now and then. I have 4 more days of MDO left. Wow! It's has been a great year. I will have 4 weeks before starting the summer MDO session.
The kids are going to Missouri with Mom and Dad this summer. They leave Memorial Day weekend and will be gone 2 weeks. Kasey has Super Summer and Sondays Camp. Kyla will go to Kids Kamp again.
Kevin is helping a new church with their children's ministry this summer. We are really excited about that! We know God has good things planned there.
Kevin and I will celebrate 18 years of marriage this month. We plan to go on a trip while the kids are gone with Mom and Dad. Not sure where we are going yet. Just a quiet get-away for a couple of days.

Summer Excitement!!
It has been a long time since I posted to my blog. I am not good at all at keeping it current! Kind of like my scrapbooks. I get really behind on that too.
The summer has been so much fun! The kids have been very busy with church camps and going to Colorado with my parents.
Kyla accepted Christ at Kid's Kamp!! What a thrill that was. Then when she got back from Colorado, it was almost time for her birthday. Kevin had the honor of baptizing her on her birthday! What an exciting time in our lives! There is no greater joy than knowing your children have been saved by grace and walk with the Lord.
Kevin and Kasey leave this Sunday for Cedar Hill to go to Sonday's Camp. I know they are looking forward to that. Kevin got his bus license so he can help drive. I am sure lots of great things are going to happen next week with all of those kids. Lives will be changed!
We still have VBS/FUEL Week in August and the Middle School Fiesta TX trip yet to go this summer. Kasey has band camp and Kyla has mini-cheer camp. Just a few more things to finish out the summer before school starts back on the 24th of August!
WOW! It seems like we just got out of school!
I took over as MDO Director at our church. We have two more weeks of the summer session. Then we will have a four week break before the fall session starts up. It is such a blessing to work at the church!

December 28
| What a beautiful time of year! It has to be my favorite! A time to celebrate our Savior's birth... We have made it a tradition to stay home at Christmas. Mom and Dad got to come here this year, which was great. Kevin's parents were here too, which was also wonderful. So all the grandparents were here on Christmas morning! We all went to the Christmas Eve service at PaulAnn together and then came back to our house to eat. The kids were so excited to know that Santa would be coming soon. On Christmas morning, we got up and read the Christmas story from Luke and said a prayer before going downstairs to see what Santa brought and to open gifts. It was such a fun day! Kyla got a cupcake maker and made a birthday cupcake for Jesus. We sang Happy Birthday before we ate lunch. What a great day!! |

| My first entry-- The kids just finished their second 6 weeks. The year is going by really fast. Kasey just finished football season and really liked it. They started basketball on Monday and I hope he enjoys that too. He is doing very well in 7th grade. I was a little worried about him starting middle school, but all has been well so far. 3rd grade has been harder for Kyla, but she is doing well. She is having to work harder for her grades, but her teachers say she is doing fine and is very smart. She loves school! We still love PaulAnn!! God has us right where we need to be. Kasey and I both got baptized soon after joining. I am enjoying my new position there in the Mom's Day Out. Kevin is leading the Middle School worship band and Kasey plays the drums. Kevin is also leading Celebrate Recovery on Thursday nights also. Kyla has learned all of the books of the Bible and has recited them to her teacher. She also learned the 10 Comandments to recite as well. |
